Spain

3 x nice to know

1.

Spanish people socialise in cafés and restaurants. Happy and loud conversation is the rule rather than the exception.

2.

Work does not define you: it enables the life you have. Work-related issues are not much discussed during spare time, and acquaintances do not necessarily know each other’s professions.

3.

The Spanish do not want to hide the natural taste of ingredients with too much seasoning or sauces. Salt and olive oil are usually enough.

Everything you can imagine

Spain enchants you with its relaxed atmosphere, friendliness and vitality. People are spontaneous, open and approachable. They are also masters of flexibility: everything will be all right, and being late or making last-minute changes are no problem.

Spanish cities are full of history, fashion, delicacies and fun street festivals. You will find Madrid, the city of art and tapas, and Barcelona, with its innovative architecture. There are Valencia, the home of paella; Segovia, known for the Roman aqueduct; and Granada, with its Arab quarters.

Spain has nearly 5,000 kilometres of coastline. Adored by sunbathers, the Mediterranean Sea glimmers in the east, and the Atlantic Ocean borders the country in the north and south. And oh, those mountains! Did you know that after Switzerland, Spain is the most mountainous country in Europe?

One of the most popular food destinations in Spain is the Basque Country, located on the coast of the Atlantic. It is known for its delicious pintxos, fresh seafood and several Michelin restaurants.

A proper entrecôte can be enjoyed anywhere across the country. However, you should absolutely try the local meat delicacies. Maybe you would like to try Madrid’s traditional specialities: lamb or a whole suckling pig slowly cooked in a wood oven.

In Spain, there is lots to do, whether you like hiking, cycling, mountain climbing, surfing, horse riding or relaxing at the beach. If your customer needs peace and quiet, there are excellent options for personal or group retreats.

Galicia!

Galicia, located on the Atlantic coast north of Portugal, is a paradise for seafood lovers. Fishermen bring their catch to the harbour, ready to be taken directly to market halls and restaurants. Guaranteed fresh!
